Description of Super Mario 3D World: Nintendo Selects

Each character has unique abilities and play styles. For example, Princess Peach glides over gaps, while Luigi has his trademark extra-high jump. The new cat transformation allows players to run on all fours, pounce on enemies, attack in midair, or use their claws to scamper up walls and goal poles. Explore colorful 3D environments filled with obstacles and contraptions like transparent pipes and vertical conveyor belts, which add new puzzle elements. Use the Wii U Gamepad Controller's touch screen to search for hidden blocks and freeze enemies in place. “E” w/Mild Cartoon Violence.

A solid game for Nintendo Wii U

Super Mario 3D World is another solid game from Nintendo. Another variation of Mario's story "Save the Distressed from the Evil Kupa". Mario and his companions (Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad) travel to another land to save the fairies from King Kupa. I have to say that the Wii U controller is REQUIRED to play certain levels. If it's not there, some levels will be unplayable, which will disrupt the game. This doesn't stop the player from fully advancing, it just leads to a missed opportunity…

Pros
  • Nintendo Systems
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other games

Really fun, especially for 2 players, but not perfect.

It's a very good game, but there are only 2 problems: 1, it's a 3D Mario game, and 2D will always be better. 2, management can be disappointing. If you jump and shake the controller, you will instantly stop/fall with a kick in the butt. It's all good as long as you don't do a series of tricky jumps with bottomless pits everywhere and accidentally move the controller too much when you're over one of those pesky pits. Very annoying when that happens. I know Nintendo likes to use the controller's…

Great game for Wii U accessory

From my 10 year old son: This game is really great! It has a few notable differences from regular Mario games. Number one, yes, hence the name. It's in 3D. Secondly, the bonuses are very different, for example, the transformation of a raccoon. Third, Bowser doesn't kidnap Princess Peach, but instead captures little fairy princesses in jars. The bad thing is that there is no split screen. So if Luigi tries to kill multiple enemies or collect a hidden block, and Mario, Peach, and Blue Toad move…
