Thanks!: Cables, adapters and multiple sockets

I drive a lot and seem to use too many telephone cables. I even buy "premium" cables but end up swapping them out too quickly even if I try to be careful. I've used them on a few "dead" wires and they're working again! I also put them on new cords to prevent damage. The included tool is a great help

I was so sure they would last longer on the charging cables. No! Very disappointed with this product! Difficult to apply and place correctly. Once turned on, they don't stay in place. Previously, the placement of these "rubber support caps" had been adjusted multiple times. By trying to put them on properly I have done more damage to my charging cords than if I had left the charging cord(s) alone.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Only available in white

Don't buy this! - Enhancements

What a mess! The cuffs must be applied with the supplied plastic tool. Once I put on the first one, my son had to finish it for me. I do not recommend this product to anyone. The rest of the collars are not used. If you're looking for multi-line color definition, you can use colored tape or a marker to code the ends. It also helps with cord bending and fraying. Too short for that and too soft to be useful.

The best safety cords available!

Great for defense. I know there are many people who have had problems, but this is where I think they are going wrong. When attaching the cable to the installation device, make sure that the white tabs on the end of the tool are visible at the end. Otherwise, the tool will tear the collar. If you take your time and make sure the tool's teeth are visible at the end before stretching it for installation, you won't have a problem. I hope this helped as I really wanted everyone to understand thatโ€ฆ

Cord collars protect and keep in place

I got some Apple headphones for Christmas and found the cable at the end of the connector to be particularly fragile. I decided to try these inexpensive corded collars. So far they have worked great and have not slipped. The kit includes a nifty little plastic expander that stretches the collar so the cork can pass through. I chose to pull the collar over the bottom of the white plastic connector and this seems to protect the cord even more. When picking up the fork, also hold the top of theโ€ฆ

Tips & Tricks: Electrical

These extremely flexible polymeric tubing (clamps) can be tricky to install, but work well with most wire types. If you want to connect it to the end that has a USB A connector, you'll need to start at the other end of the cable (Lightning, Micro, C) and go to the USB Type A connector. Try connecting it via the Type A connector pulling a plug is next to impossible. They work best with cables that have a sharp square shoulder on the connector (such as Apple's OEM cables). As with most of theseโ€ฆ

Some will fit a Magsafe 2 connector, some won't.

Like everyone who's had a Macbook in my life, I finally ran out of a Magsafe 2 connector. Electrically it was fine and showed no signs of damage, but the rubber around it was torn and needed propping be used to prevent electrical failure. The first one I tried just didn't fit the Magsafe connector, even after some hair heating. Dryer. The next one must have been a bit thinner because it fit - quite snugly - even without heat. So there must be some manufacturing differences, but with patienceโ€ฆ

Great solution for repairing worn Magsafe adapters

Works great! My 2013 MacBook Pro's magsafe 2 retina adapter was starting to wear out and I was struggling to figure out a way to fix it. I've tried shrink wrap, but the ones big enough to put on a fork didn't shrink tight enough to stay in place. I thought about using duct tape but knew it would leave a mark and wouldn't last long. I was a little skeptical when I discovered this product because I figured if it could slide around the end of the Magsafe 2 connector it would be too loose on a real

Power Strips Detailed Review

UPDATE 5/19/2020 (ADDED IMAGE): They have endured a full week of PURE ABUSE and absolutely held up. Will be buying many more as I have a few friends who have tested them. In the photo, two constantly scattered cords stepped on her, definitely bent. THANK YOU SO MUCH! About the person: I am 33 years old, relatively technically adept and physically fit. THAT'S GREAT! I almost didn't buy them because of the feedback/Q&A on how difficult they were to install or they broke during installation. Iโ€ฆ
