This is a very clever and very useful invention as I hate having to keep cutting the cord into small pieces. I've only used them a few times under light loads so I can't say how they will hold up under heavy use. But they are cheap enough to try and customize your application accordingly.

This is a cool little device that will really help those of us who don't remember knots. I don't camp or climb long enough to remember those Prusiks, Boulines and Palomars for long. These guys are very helpful. I use 1/8 inch shock rope to secure the overly open end of my hammock. Voila, like a talisman, I can tighten and loosen as I please. It's an excruciating pain to tighten stretch marks over and over again, and these things will make you want to do it at every opportunity because it's so easy.
