This is a cool little device that will really help those of us who don't remember knots. I don't camp or climb long enough to remember those Prusiks, Boulines and Palomars for long. These guys are very helpful. I use 1/8 inch shock rope to secure the overly open end of my hammock. Voila, like a talisman, I can tighten and loosen as I please. For the price, the cam clamp definitely solves my problem. .
