NIVEA Intense Healing Body Lotion: 72 Hr Moisture, 16.9 Fl Oz Pump Bottle Review

Over the past few years I have tried many healing creams, lotions etc but never found one that has effectively smoothed and healed my knees and elbows. This 72-hour intensive healing lotion finally delivers excellent results. I apply and forget. My rough, unsightly areas are smooth almost immediately and stay that way for days (even if I forget to use them). I love how it dries or absorbs into my skin and doesn't feel greasy. And just a small amount is enough, which makes it economical.

Many people say that I have smooth, perfect skin, but regardless of skin type, it still dries out. So I keep going and trying sooooo many lotions. Some are too thin, others feel like they leave a sticky feeling. I'm tired of moisturizing every few minutes or three times just to get rid of dry skin. With this product, it's not thin (just right) and you apply it once and it feels like you're at a spa. It takes a long time to wash your hands and a very reasonable price ($5-$6).

I feel like it means something when reviewers say they don't usually write reviews. For this reason I will tell everyone who reads this review that I was never one of them. Bought because it said "Moisturizing & Intense Healing 72 Hours" so I thought it might be good as I used to like the regular cream version BUT the smell/taste was like it terrible and overwhelming. The 72 hour intensive cure claim is closer to 2-4 hours and then you must reapply IF you can control the odor. It would be nice if somewhere in the description it said that this lotion is contaminated with the stench of a 19th century brothel worker. Avoid this product unless you want to smell like your dead grandmother.

Overall, my mom and I love this product and buy it often. The texture is smooth and creamy and does not leave a sticky or greasy feeling on the skin after application. It's quite thick so it doesn't take too much to moisturize. It has a pretty strong odor. I personally really like it, but I understand why others might not like it.
