Good for a router! for Fans and Cooling

The blower fan makes a bit more noise but it's about the same as regular cheap fans and I haven't done anything to reduce it! I placed rubber feet on one side of my fan, plugged it into my Nighthawk XR500 router's USB port, and mounted the router directly on top of it. The router doesn't even feel warm. Big win!

Pros
  • Computer Components
Cons
  • Update Availability

Replaced an old 1200rpm fan and the temp dropped 5 degrees

I use it as an exhaust fan in a network closet. As the amount of equipment continued to increase, so did the temperature. I used to have 35C, and now it stays around 30C. Much happier with the improved airflow, well worth it. I installed a fan in a hatch in the attic where air blows. Used Coolerguys 120mm USB fan with case mount, just replaced original fan with Noktua.

Pros
  • Fan and Cooling
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

Quiet fan but not silent

I used this to cool a T-Mobile Home internet device that is poorly designed and only has passive cooling. I used a special 3D printed bracket to mount it under the device and blow it up. Please note that this is a 5V version so it will work fine via a USB port with an adapter. This is not the standard voltage for a PC case fan. If you need it, take another model.

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Long wait
