🍅 Norpro Tomato and Soft Cheese Slicer - White, 8" x 4.5" x 3 Review

I bought it so that the tomatoes are cut evenly. . The slices are very thick. For me it's useless. I need something I can slice thinly.

Unfortunately broke on first use. One of the blades came out of the frame. It was easy to use, just wish I had a better chance with it.

This is very convenient for slicing tomatoes, especially when you need to cut a lot of tomatoes and prepare them faster. I only hand washed it and don't want to risk ruining it in the dishwasher.

I like to have tomatoes sliced a little thinner than this appliance can handle. The blades are not sharp enough to easily cut very ripe tomatoes. I'll just go back to using an adjustable mandolin cut for them. However, it's well made and works well for what it is. Cleaning is pretty easy too.

I love tomatoes and I add tomatoes to my meals too often without a cutting board. I used to only have to take out the cutting board for the tomato, core and slice, then wash the knife and dry the wooden cutting board completely. The slicer is also great for slicing strawberries and mushrooms that would otherwise need to be cut quite small. I bought this product specifically and only for slicing tomatoes. This was unfortunate as it failed to fulfill its stated primary function. ALL the tomatoes I tried to chop were quite hard and NOT soft or mushy, but this tool cut them very poorly. The problem was that his blades were too thin AND/OR made of inferior metal. maybe not sharp enough. This meant that a hard tomato would make them bend to the point where they would bend/bend so far from the truth that they would cut into plastic…
