It was a gift and looks adorable. It doesn't have to be a good nutcracker. It barely cracks nuts and feels like it might break if you do. Worth its price as a decorative and fun item.

I wanted this FOREVER and when I got the gift card I finally broke down and bought it. I love it very much and it's great to be a fall decor item and also my real nutcracker.

This adorable nutcracker is made entirely of metal and would look great in my kitchen. It's only really good for cracking walnuts as the mouth opening is quite large. It's durable, shiny and perfect for display.

I would call it a decoration not a nut cracker. The force required to split the nut is greater than the force holding the squirrel's left and right halves together. Poor little psycho is breaking down. He could work with soft-shelled nuts like peanuts, but not walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, or pecans.

Many nuts and their parts tend to get stuck in the upper jaws. Also, there is a risk of crushing as the seam along the top of the squirrel's head opens slightly and then closes on the flesh of your hand as you hold the head to balance the squirrel. It hurts and I basically just left the squirrel on the shelf and use old crackers. Not worth the hassle or the money.
