Norpro Ice Cream Sandwich Maker Review

This was a Christmas present which has not yet been used but the recipient is 17 years old and very excited as he looks forward to becoming a chef one day.

This is a fun idea for those of us who love making our own ice cream for whatever reason, but actually trying to make the perfect ice cream sandwich is a bit messy be. The ice slips and smears on the walls of the device, and when removed, slightly melted cream spoils the shortbread. It's a good product, but not exactly convenient if you're looking for the perfect one.

I often use an ice cream sandwich maker to make my own gluten and dairy free ice cream sandwiches. I think it's well made and the plastic on my product is thick and doesn't seem to chip easily as another reviewer previously commented. Bake the whole dough, then cut out as the instructions suggest. So less waste. A trick that will help someone who uses this is when you start making sandwiches, just push the white part into the mold a bit, otherwise it will be a little difficult to remove when…
