Never Put To The Test. The balaclava has finger holes like in a glove, although it is a mitten. If your hands are wet or sweaty and you take your hand out, the liner goes with it. Then putting it back in and getting your fingers back to normal inside out is a pain. We just wanted a normal mitten lining.

These are really gloves in mittens! I was very disappointed when I put my hand in one and felt the inner lining of the glove. Why make a mitten that is essentially a glove? The whole idea of mittens is that they're for people who want to keep their fingers together.

Very warm glove. What I didn't like are individual finger holes inside the glove. It is difficult to wear an underglove with these mittens due to the finger holes. However, they were so warm that I didn't need a layered glove.

I'm a merchant and I work with my hands so they can be larger than usual, but usually XL gloves fit me well. NOT these. They were too short and too tight around the palm of my hand for me. Came back for a roomier glove. So if you have an XL, be aware that it is a bit small. I wish they fit better, they looked like good gloves and looked sharp! Therefore 3 stars despite the size.

Great mittens! Had to order, return and reorder to get the right size for my 11 year old who is not too big for his age. I'm not sure what Etip does for the mittens!
