Reproducibility for an accurate float isn't possible with this float, but it will work when you don't need an accurate liquid level, such as when you're on the go. a drain pump etc but I need it because the high water alarm float and dyno test gave me results of up to 6 inches!

I used it to control a well pump to fill our 500 gallon water tank. I can't say how long it will last, but it should be good. if there are no problems with the "mechanism of switching over time. :-)

In my case I actually use it in the sump but wanted it separate from the pump float so it would be mounted separately (at a higher elevation) to operate the second (backup) pump. Works normally open (generally black) and normally closed. The sensor opens/closes approximately 45 degrees. Perfect for what I need.
