Best bang for the buck!

I bought this because my little brother was missing the old SATA SSD he was using. It was a doubling of capacity so not a huge improvement given the size of games these days but this NVME on the old z97 chipset platform combined with a 2TB HDD makes my brother's gaming life a joy 😊

Phenomenal at $32.95

Great drive at $33. If you want a 256GB NVMe, this is what you need. at $33 (35 now they're raising the price, I've shared the Amazon link in many places. ;p) It's solid. Sustained write speeds top out at around 500MB/s for long writes, and there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Phenomenal drive. qualitative. one-sided. It has 4 tokens. If I had to guess I would say 1 chip is DRAM, 2 chips is 128GB Flash and 4 is the controller.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Confusing

It works great so far. So far, so good. :-)

Everything works very well so far. It was super fast and reliable. Windows loads in seconds. It was easy to physically install it. Although it doesn't come with a screw. I was lucky I already had a spare so it wasn't a problem. It was a little difficult to install Windows on it. Because the Windows USB boot installer couldn't see it. I got around this by installing Windows on a regular hard drive and then cloning that hard drive to SSD using Acronis software.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Useless features

So far so good but not new technically

I bought three of these and the Smart Data for all three shows they got at least a little use. They had intelligent data on things like power cycles, run hours, unsafe shutdowns, etc., all of which lead me to believe they came from faulty returned/refurbished PCs that had problems. On the other hand, the data show the remaining life expectancy. I don't mind buying used components, but I do want to be an informed decision maker. Two stars deducted for lack of clarity. Great wheels so far.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

The cheapest Nvme SSD card I've seen from a reputable company.

I have upgraded my daughter's slot machine and of course if it hasn't been done in 10 years you will have to replace almost everything, I mean everything except the power supply and case - at least for now. I switched from DDR3 to DDR4; and the current AMD Phenom II motherboard didn't make it that far. So I added a new Gigabyte motherboard, an i3-9100F and Corsair storage and yes this SSD is for the HDD. fast and not disappointing. It's not a Samsung Nvme SSD, but heck it was about 1/3 the…

Storage That Matters

So my 128GB drive on my MacBook Air was almost full (remember that?), I tried to install the new beta and got the error message "Not enough places". . So I did what anyone would do, I uninstalled everything knowing I could reinstall it later. Still not enough space. I tried moving the setup file to an external drive. No, it still wouldn't be enough space. So I contacted Revain and found this SSD, now for those of you looking for an upgrade, it's not a Macbook plug and play device. You need an…
