I have upgraded my daughter's slot machine and of course if it hasn't been done in 10 years you will have to replace almost everything, I mean everything except the power supply and case - at least for now. I switched from DDR3 to DDR4; and the current AMD Phenom II motherboard didn't make it that far. So I added a new Gigabyte motherboard, an i3-9100F and Corsair storage and yes this SSD is for the HDD. fast and not disappointing. It's not a Samsung Nvme SSD, but heck it was about 1/3 the price. Yes, it was worth it. So if you're on a budget and can only afford around $35 for an SSD, I would go with these again. But a small recommendation: IF your kids play Fortnite, spend a few bucks more and buy a 500GB SSD; I have a 250 and wish I had a little more room. Your computer will work and run fine, but running tests on it isn't very good.
