Impossible: Puzzle

I bought this for my son and it was a disappointment. My first complaint is that the ball is almost invisible when it's near the center of the cube. It keeps you losing the ball. My second complaint is that some of the barriers in this product are just plain impossible. Some are literally on the opposite side of the other and are in the same cell of the cube! My penultimate complaint is that you can only move the cube in one direction. It's very uncomfortable. My final complaint is that this…

It's not really a Rubik's Cube, but it's still fun!

I was a bit disappointed when I got this and found that it's not functionally a Rubik's Cube. It only rotates around 1 axis and has only 3 moving parts. So if you like collecting real Rubik's Cubes, you won't get that experience here. However, it's still a fun "twist" to the perplexus puzzle and fun on its own! The 3 moving parts are quite a challenge, like a marble maze. As you'd expect, it features full articulation.

smart idea. Bad Design

I love Rubik's Cubes and I love the Perplexus line. It seemed like a great, intelligent and unique combination of the two. While the maze portion of the toy was challenging but not overly difficult, completing the maze gave way to the surprising, frustrating, and challenging task of getting the marble back to the start. The way the puzzle is held together makes it challenging due to all the dividers and half-blocked corners. They don't have flat edges to bounce the ball back to the start…

Quality Puzzle/Game

Well first thing I bought was a 2x2 when I first saw it. I really liked this puzzle (maybe even more). When I bought this product I knew it was 3 separate rotating layers and not a real Rubik's Cube. And I think it was a great designer choice. The biggest problem with 2x2 was that his turns were difficult and could easily ruin your entire run. This puzzle is smooth and fun. From a puzzle point of view, unlike 2x2, it's really easy to figure out where to go next, but there are more challenges…
