Because this item consists of parts that need to be assembled. seems strong enough to support the small fridge and freezer that will be mounted on top for a while.

No complaints, except a suggestion to the manufacturer to put a "middle" mark on the rods. When assembling, there should ideally be equal rod length on each side. Hard to tell without a link. I added black tape cut into thin 1/8" pieces to mark the centers. I use for small fridges that I need to move frequently and no problems so far.

I have a small toolbox with a mechanic's box on top with all my gun tools. I put a tool box on it. I didn't weigh the boxes, but the combine without tools weighs over 100 pounds I'm sure. Assembly was in the minus, not difficult but a bit glassy. A little lube would probably fix that. I only had to assemble/adjust it once and it's been the toolbox ever since. I have given my adult son with special needs a box just like mine and he has a wooden chest. I bought him a second car.

Do not buy. The adjustable tubes that hold everything together don't snap at all. They pinch like they're about to snap, but then the air pressure starts hissing and the unit expands randomly in either direction until the entire base bursts, collapsing sideways and busting your $400 fridge because cooling units don't fit it can be held angle. It was impossible to tape the base, we just got crooked tape. Threw this piece of shit in the dumpster and had to order a replacement for our fridge…
