These cable clips really hold tight. I got mine for pen storage and accidentally got stuck in an off center position and can't detach it. I mean I can't take it off! ! ! First of all, if you use the supplied adhesive pads, don't expect them to last very long. They stick at first, but after a week or two they will loosen or faster if exposed to heat like sunlight. I would remove the sticky disc and replace it with some 3M VHB. Rubber holder durable and high quality. Holds cables well.
