I have very curly hair and I usually straighten it with a blow dryer. This gives me semi-straight hair because I use a round brush and try to keep big loose Hollywood curls down so I still have some volume. Although sometimes it's nice to have very straight straight hair, and that's nice too. Excellent flat iron. It heats up quickly and straightens perfectly and curls perfectly too. Looks stylish and easy to use. Includes brush and mat. The brushes are also good and work great. It would be a good present. I have tried many different rectifiers and it is comparable to Chi and other high end rectifiers.

This item arrived about a week late but as soon as I opened the box I knew it was a great deal. Includes 3 brushes, iron and iron holder. The straightener has a digital reader and automatically sets the temperature to 365. I have 4a/b hair so I increased the temperature to 400 degrees and my hair was straightened perfectly. I then added it to the holder to let it cool down without burning my countertop which is great.
