This device is a very convenient size to take with you. The buttons are small and take some getting used to. The built-in speaker is weak and not very loud. Where it really shines is when you copy the audio file to your computer to view it. Clarity is excellent. It's a stereo recorder, so there's a depth to the recording that makes it feel real. The size of this item is one of its best features which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The size requires that many functions and modes can be accessed/controlled by clicking multiple screens on a small digital display. But the wealth of features and the quality of the recorded recordings make it worth it. (A Bluetooth option with a phone app interface would be a nice feature, if possible without the bulk.) I bought the VP-10 because as a journalist I have to record interviews at trade fairs. I like that it's small, about the size of a thick pen. I'm really pleasantly surprised at how much I like this little pen. After reading some of the reviews I wasn't 100% sure it would deliver on the promises made in the specs but it does. . Those who had trouble resetting the date simply didn't read the guide.
