I would like the handle to be made of untreated raw wood. There was a small learning curve. It took me about a week to figure out that I can lather my hands and get a very good lather. After learning this, the brush produces more lather than the badger brush I switched from and it seems to continue to lather and lather. In case any badgers are reading this: nothing personal, just my honest opinion.

If you can't do better then that's fine, I'm sure it's just as good as synthetic. Actually pretty carefree. Use 100% badger hair and you'll immediately understand why people love badger hair brushes. This synthetic brush is second to none. And given that you can get pretty good badger hair brushes for not much more (or even the same money), why settle for a fake?

Slight disappointment - *update below* The bristles are very soft and produce endless lather with almost no effort. It's frustrating that the brush just falls onto the foam, leaving a few drips on your shirt or on the floor every time. A little difficult to work with with foam on the face. I'll keep trying this brush in the hope that I can learn the right technique for this (synthetic) brush, but so far I'm liking my Perfecto. Gosh this is a great brush. There are almost certainly better brushes out there for a lot of money, but getting out of the "pure badger" (pure bunch of crap) Escala is a big step in the right direction.
