Omix Ada 17250 05 Ignition Lock Cylinder Review

The socket part of the ignition lock which blocks the sector gear is hollowed out and will eventually stop working, it was made from inferior metals which was very disappointing as I bought so much paid for and it has a five year warranty, had to disassemble the steering column again what a hassle, hopefully they give warranty and I get a new one with better results

It fits exactly where it needs to be. I also used the new sector gear, but that has already been covered. You see, the previous owner of my jeep was just stupid, he pulled out the steering column with a flat head screwdriver and destroyed the lock cylinder and sector gear in the process. This lock cylinder matched the new sector gearbox perfectly and worked great! Unlike the guy I bought that jeep from, GOD he was dumb.

Three stars so far because the lock comes with two keys, but actually only one key fits in the ignition. I would return it but I need to install it now. So you need to make another key. So I think it's only gotten more expensive. The second key is obviously quite different from the one that works. Not impressed with this simple lack of quality control. However, the lock seems to work correctly with a key.
