🔒 Omix-Ada Gas Cap, Locking, 03-18 Jeep Wrangler JK, 18-20 JL, 2020 JT Review

This locking gas cap just isn't worth the money. It is siliceous. What was delivered did not look like the photo and it came with one key instead of two.

I love the idea of a simple, easy and cheap locking gas cap for my Jeep, but the particular gas cap I have keeps throwing the gas cap error codes. Shouldn't be tight enough. Unusual for this brand. This is the first problem with their equipment.

Our Jeep's check engine light came on and the dealer said the gas cap was not sealing well. We thought it might be our fault for not tightening it properly. But two days ago the light came on again. Same problem and this time the dealer charged us for the work to clarify. We've replaced that gas cap with a Jeep locking gas cap. It's too expensive to try and keep using that gas cap.

I bought this item for my new Jeep (less than 1000 miles). Shortly after installation the check engine light came on. When I took it to the shop they informed me that there was a small evaporator leak caused by the gas cap not closing properly. I replaced it with a Mopar gas cap and there was no such problem. Too bad I didn't reply sooner and couldn't return this cap for a refund.
