The filters are inexpensive, they just don't last as long in the cartridges. Just 2-4 weeks on average. They should be a little thicker.

We use this filter on our well water as we live in a rural area. The filter definitely works because you can visually see the sediment it collects.

I have to change it every 10 days because it's clogged with dirt. Any suggestions on the need to change it so often. Expensive to change it so often.

I ordered these cartridges on the fly, not the styrofoam cartridges I normally use. The folds of paper become soft and squishy, which seems to allow sediment to pass long before the filter needs to be replaced.
