Good Can Opener: Kitchen Gadgets & Gadgets

It works. This is my second One Touch bottle opener. The last lasted 8 years. However, this one opens smaller cans. He doesn't open salsa-sized cans or dip them in the chip aisle of grocery stores. To open this size or larger you need one that will open large jars like the old ones did.

Very useful but breaks easily, need to buy some spares

Really useful when there is no testosterone in the house (i.e. there is no one stronger than me) for opening cans, especially as my hand gets weaker and weaker with age. However, it's flimsy and I had to buy a few spares, but it was worth it. I've just discovered that Hamilton Beach makes a similar item so I'm giving it a try - hopefully it's better made and lasts longer.

Pros
  • Decent performance

Interesting. for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I only have a few thoughts on this product. First, when installing the battery, was it difficult to remove and reattach the small cover? There is no guide how to do it easily. Then you can't interrupt the process, if it moves forward or backward, it has to complete the loop. It's when you need it, it's no good. This works for some banks but not for all items. for example with a square tip! Well, I'll probably have to fight with the battery again until the next assignment.

Out of service: kitchen and dining room

I bought these for my mom who had a stroke years ago and can't use one hand so it's perfect for her. If it worked, we would follow the instructions and the device kept popping out of the jar. He cannot even open a vessel that has already been opened. I contacted the supplier and they said they would let us return it and give us our money back but as they said I heard nothing from the supplier. I wouldn't buy it or anything else from Black Sylar.

order can opener get can opener

This is more of a rating for the seller, although BUYERS BE CAREFUL! This was ordered as a gift for my elderly mum to replace the same item that just broke. She was very happy with her first can opener and was so grateful that I found the same item. I sent it to her directly since we live in different states. The item delivered was a battery powered can opener instead of a can opener. She decided to use it, but an open jar leaves very sharp edges. She said she cut under the hem of her cap. A…

Just bought a second one.

My first one was bought in late 2008 and used 4 or 5 times a month. It finally broke this morning when I was trying to open a badly sealed lid on a jam jar. Four years of use for less than 20 euros: Yes, I definitely got my money's worth. My first one could be a bit "fussy" at times, but it ALWAYS worked great on everything from brine jars to canned food. Plus, it's pretty specific when it comes to battery performance. So keep that in mind if you use yours frequently. If the batteries are…
