Great quality, an improvement

This is a great rash guard, an improvement over the regular rash guards I buy for my kids who are thin and appear to become limp wearing a few months. It will protect my children's skin from the sun very well. I am happy with the fit. I will buy this again.

Pros
  • Comfortable but durable 6 oz polyester/spandex construction
Cons
  • A few minor things

Great shirt, runs small

I ordered a size up hoping my son would have room to grow. In fact, it grew small and now almost fit him too small. I'm not talking snug, I mean small, like the length of the arms and shirts. Make sure you take this into account. Order one size up for a good fit.

Pros
  • Minimal seams for maximum rash protection
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great kids rashguard

I got this rashguard for my boys at a great price. They are well made and should work just fine. The size seems right. They are not designed to fit snugly against the skin, which is good for children's swimming. Great for our purpose which is just sun protection for non-competitive swimming. highlighted.

Pros
  • 87% polyester 13% spandex
Cons
  • Little things

true to size - Scuba & Snorkeling

I read a review from someone who bought a size 14 for their 10 year old girl and ordered a size 16 for my 14 year old girl but found it too big. I am an average size 14 and will reorder a size 14. (My son loves the style, the logo.) They may have resized the product since this reviewer commented. In April 2015 he is NOT working a bit. That corresponds to the size.

Pros
  • Featured product Skin Cancer Foundation; UV protection UPF 50+
Cons
  • Modern

True to size or slightly smaller

Bought size 4 for my smaller 5 year old and size 8 for my above average 8 year old (both thin). Perfect fit for my 5 year old but the sleeves were too short for my 8 year old. Width wise I'd say both are snug but not super tight, good for work if your kid is looking for that. The quality/weight of the fabric seems good although we haven't used it more than a couple of times. I will let you know if the rash guards don't stand up to prolonged use in salt water (which is our main use).

Pros
  • Slim Fit: Fits snug but not snug
Cons
  • Not sure

Fits true to size or a little small

Purchased Size 4 for my 5 year old below average and size 8 for my 8 year old above average (both skinny). Perfect fit for my 5 year old but the sleeves were too short for my 8 year old. Width wise I'd say both are snug but not super tight, good for work if your kid is looking for that. The quality/weight of the fabric seems good although we haven't used it more than a couple of times. Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
