The hook is loose. The dowels and screws are too small, I used my own. The iron holder is just what you need to carefully place the iron. My big iron catches like a hook, like a bug in the carpet.

I know it's hard to believe but we couldn't get our board hooked. The bend in the legs requires us to lift the board higher, but the iron slot gets in the way. My board is very old, about 25 years old. Perhaps now they are made with different types of legs.

. Once installed, it is very secure. My large iron fits in easily and won't fall out. There are hooks to hang the board, although I use them to hang the press cloth. Most importantly, I love, love, LOVE the little cord storage nook! What a great idea!

This is functional and works, but I have a standard size iron (I'm not a professional ironer but I do iron shirts occasionally). My standard size iron doesn't fit in here. I kept it because it stays but will most likely fall down during a natural disaster like an earthquake or tornado. It worries me and will probably break my iron if my house ever falls victim to such a disaster. All this to say that if I had the right size iron, it would probably be perfect. It's more trouble than it's worth…

I attached the attachment to the magnets and hung it on the side of the washer/dryer. This means I didn't use screws, but as with anything you can upgrade the screws and bushings if needed. * This is a large mount. My iron in this thing is small so it slides. The two side notches don't even come close to touching my iron. This limited installation location because if I hit a protruding cable the whole thing would fall off. If you have a 5.5" wide iron, that's fine.* It's made of a very hard…
