For some odd reason it looks like indigo blue.

The color didn't look gray so I returned it to get silver. The inside of this thing looked very well constructed and the tests I got from the case motherboard were amazing. I just wish I was actually gray to match the setup I had for this thing. However, the NVMe ran quite hot, which is a bit annoying, but the tight form factor leads to that. I'm ready to deal with the heat and take advantage of the slim design, so I'll definitely be buying more of these in the future.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Empty

Works well and is easy to use.

It's pretty fast for what it is. I used this on an old internal NVMe drive to turn it into an external drive. For this it works very well and has reached the speed indicated by the manufacturer. This allows the TRIM command to be used and seems to work. What I don't like about this device is that you can't use it to perform a secure erase on the drive. To do this, you need to plug it into a computer with an M.2 PCIe slot and run Secure Erase from there.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Good design for computer accessories and peripherals

I've only had experience with this case but I would say it's well designed and works exactly as described. Some reviews say it gets very hot. I didn't have this experience migrating an image from my 250G laptop to a 1TB Samsung 980 that I installed in an enclosure. I didn't even feel it warm up during the process.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

I was very impressed with the build quality of the case, easy to install with all the tools and screws provided. I installed a Samsung M.2 NVMe 970 EVO 1TB SSD, formatted it with exFAT on my Mac and ran a speed test with a Blackmagic Speedtest drive. instrument and it showed 950 up and down - I was happy! Today I decided to transfer some ISO images with a total size of about 40GB with my Windows 7 laptop via USB3, left it (estimated time 24 minutes) but when I came back after 20 minutes it gave

Nice, thin, small case

Very nice, slim case. The only complaint I have, but not enough to give it an IMO rating, is that it's a bit cramped. Oh, and the thermal pads are a little sticky, making it difficult for the lid to slide on as smoothly as you'd like. BUT overall it does the job it's supposed to do and it does it well. I would buy this again.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Compact and works well as a heatsink

This unit is more compact than most, made out of aluminum and if the SSD has the right piece of thoughtful thermal padding, the heat from the unit will transfer and dissipate well on the metal casing. Uses a USB-C connection instead of the old micro-USB variety. I liked it so much that I got another one.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Great except for the required screw - works with 4TB

UPDATE: Electronically this case will work with a 4TB drive. I was able to format the full capacity of a Sabrent 4TB drive to 4TB and transfer files with this case, but was unable to close the lid and secure. 4TB drives appear to require chips on both sides of the drive to achieve 4TB capacity, so will not physically fit in this case. I found out the hard way that 4TB won't fit in this case or my laptop. It seems that a very minor change in internal support in this case means it will physically
