Great book. Most templates are complex and the instructions are not very easy to follow. The experienced crafter will find this to be a great resource. This is not an "easy" origami book, however, and I do not recommend it for beginners who find that most patterns are impossible to complete without a great deal of experience.

I'm waiting for a book for beginners and intermediate. It seems like you go from simple to complex with no intermediate! I love this book for the unusual mystical creatures in it. Just interesting to browse and at least try. Most animal origami books are the same animals. This one cheered me up, but I still had a hard time finishing any of them. I think the pegasus or phoenix was light weight and beautiful looking too.

I can't help but praise this book/set. The instructions are incredibly easy to follow and almost all are beginner or intermediate. Also, the book is big so everything is presented nice, big and clear. I've been origami for a few years now and have made my fair share of complex "crazy" models, but I prefer simpler models that can be made "on site" for friends.
