Note that you will need to remove the circuit board from the old failed DVD drive. Xbox 360 devices come with three or four different brands of drives. If, like me, your DVD drive has stopped reading and you've cleaned the laser to no avail, check your brand. For me it was Phillips Light-on. I ordered this drive as a direct replacement for the DVD drive in my original Xbox 360 (thick) which was no longer able to read discs. TL;DR: This is not a new drive, shame on the seller. It still works great and is still worth the price, but as others have said it's not "brand new". This disc fits my XBOX 360 Elite manufactured on 03/08/2010. There are six wires that need to be desoldered on each drive and then you need to solder the old board to the new drive.
