Description of 🔧 Orion Motor Tech Solid Valve Spring Compressor Kit: Efficient C-Clamp Tool for Automotive, Motorcycle, ATV, Car & Small Engine Service

EFFICIENT VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALL - Everything you need to safely remove or install valve springs, including the wide C-clamp, extension screws, and pushers with 5 collet sizes for a precise fit on almost any automotive or small engine valve spring and cylinder head. DURABLE STEEL CONSTRUCTION - With forged steel construction for superior strength and hardness, this C-Clamp will not bend or twist under the stress of compressing valve springs. The smooth surface is finished with oxide to resist rust and corrosion. SIMPLE OPERATION - Close the coil spring compressor until touching the center rod, and insert the compressor into the coil spring. Carefully compress the spring for removal or install and only release compression when the spring is set for install. Handle with caution. TOOL STORAGE CASE - This toolset comes packaged in a high-impact, custom-molded case that holds each part securely for convenient organization and easy transport. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED - If any component of the toolset is defective, the manufacturer will exchange the product or accept a return. Orion Motor Tech’s outstanding customer service team will promptly follow up with any service request.

More than enough to get the job done.

I never intended to work on valves every day in my life and I only hoped once to. A valve spring compressor is great for this purpose. I've heard complaints from the reviews that this tool bends with use. A valve is a valve, and because it's a valve, this tool works great. The power of this compressor is more than enough to disassemble any valve I have ever come across. I think people who have never disassembled a car head probably didn't know how to use this tool. Just be careful how you use…

Good for the price: Tools and accessories

This is a bit unreliable, but great for small engines. The biggest I've used it on was an International 7.3 IDI diesel (about 70 pounds valve spring). That being said, the tool's C-frame flexed outward a bit (didn't remain flexed after removal) and didn't want to compress the spring straight down, but it was enough to pull the latches out and it did more than I expected would have. . My advice is to take a thick hardened washer and put it between the 'built-in pusher' and the 'extension screw'…

Inexpensive, looks flimsy but works well

I like to buy quality tools for things I use often. I recently taught technicians how to fix outdoor power equipment. And many things. Since most engines are OHV these days, different valve spring tools are needed. The old flat headed valve spring tools just don't work. I ordered this set and it worked great. I have used it on engines from 208cc to 540cc. cm, and he didn't miss a beat. But it looks fragile. The snapping of the different sized pushrods on the threaded rod is fine, but the…

Not for large motor heads

I'm sure this stuff works great for smaller motor heads and lower tension springs. I tried it on my LS7 heads. The valve guide was done on the engine before I got the car so I don't know if the springs are stock or not. In this case, the C-body of the tool was flexed before the spring was sufficiently compressed. I foolishly kept going as I still couldn't finish the work and the birdcage collapsed on its side. It's not a very durable instrument and appears to be made of "pot metal" in some…

Worked very well good price

Used to reinstall valve springs on a 1987 Nissan 300zx VG30DE engine. This tool worked really well and I wish I had bought it before I started disassembly as the cheap overhead spring compression tool and homemade magnets in the socket solutions didn't work very well. I was a bit worried about damaging the valve surface with the set screw so I made some plywood spacers for the intake and exhaust valves. It worked well. As mentioned in other reviews, the bar that fit into the lag screw/threaded…
