🥤 Oster Blender Pro 1200 - Glass Jar, 24-Ounce Smoothie Cup - Brushed Nickel Review

Not a very good product. I've been using blender for less than 3 months. Only used for smoothies. Part of the blade broke off yesterday. I didn't realize it until I found a piece in my smoothie!

This blender only blew up after my wife's third use. A golf ball sized piece of glass flew out of the jar about 10 feet away. The glass cut her finger but it would have happened could have been much worse if she was standing somewhere else or someone else was in the room. The blender contained only yoghurt, milk, banana and five strawberries and was average. In just five seconds the blender exploded. We will not be buying or recommending any more Easter products not to buy them yourself.

I bought this blender in July 2017. He passed away today, December 22, 2018. At first I used it intermittently, but as of June 2018 I started using it every day to make a fruit smoothie, no ice cream, just bananas, strawberries, veggies and beans (nothing is difficult to blend with those sharp blades) . This blender was amazing until it started leaking. And now it's completely useless as it keeps leaking, especially in smoothie mode. Spare parts are never available. It was a waste of money, you should have bought something more expensive without all the seals and parts. I really wanted a jar and I'm a big fan of the traditional Easter blender which I remember worked forever. I like this product, but it has its drawbacks. I've had this product for almost a year and here are my thoughts. Great blender. I bought mine from Target. It feeds on tough greens like kale and chard (with stalks), as well as frozen fruits, nuts, and seeds. It also makes amazing salsa and nut butters. I also have a Vitamix but wanted to get away from the plastic container. Although these 2 mixers are not in the same power/motor category, the Oster Pro is impressive in its capabilities.
