Maybe a previous review or something due to something else, but after 8 months! Auster called me with instructions to replace my blender. I'm glad I didn't put the blender aside for recycling. They asked me to send my blender back (free shipping label) and call the number 2 days after shipping. I sent it and after the call was told to call back in a few days. The second time they confirmed receipt of the blender and sent a new one a few days later. Overall, I'm glad they endorse their products.

I am compelled to write this review today after my wife brought it to my attention that the top base (where the blender sits) of the motor unit was covered in very fine sawdust and when she turned it on, the machine made an incredible grinding noise. So I quickly realized that it was a blender blade that definitely failed because it "got stuck" when turning it by hand in the spin cycle. I've had the Versa for over two years now. Is it as good as Vitamix? no But it's close, and for the price, it's a great bargain. I mainly use my Versa to make smoothies and use it daily. After about a year of use I noticed black greasy material had formed on the bottom of the blender bowl under the blade mechanism. I later learned that this is the grease that lubricates the ball bearings in the blade mechanism. It got progressively worse until the bearings themselves began to fall out. These…
