Good but not great: lights and ceiling fans

Very bright. I gave 4 stars because the front doesn't stick well to the base. That can easily happen if he stumbles. I don't want to glue it, so it's not attached to the wall well at the moment. Otherwise bright light.

Cover won't sit flush with wall

The light is bright but the clips on the cover won't hold until you pry it all the way to make it wider. Because the clips on the lid aren't very strong, the light also penetrates through the sides - it can't be tightened. see photo. Finally, the included screws will not fit standard outlets or US outlets. These are too wide

Not compatible with Lutron Caseta dimmers.

These will NOT work with the Lutron Caseta family of intelligent dimmers. The Revain website claims they are, but they don't work and Lutron will not help in any way. Lutron wants you to use incandescent or halogen lamps with their smart dimmers. According to customer support, Lutron does not work with LED lights and bulbs.

They are an acceptable replacement for construction quality halogen stair lights.

Installation was easy but required connecting existing lamps to new ones. Make sure you turn off the power first. Works well, very bright. I had to install a dimmer to adjust the brightness. Light will also be scattered around the case if the outlet is not properly installed. It may also be necessary to adjust the tension of the faceplate to keep the faceplate secure.

Poor fit, cream faceplate instead of white

This is not a good product in my opinion. I have ordered 4 of these units plus a "CLOUDY BAY" CR190. Cloudy Bay was a much better product in my opinion and fitted much better and the faceplate is crisp white as advertised. I installed two Ostwins and neither worked. I think I'll replace them with Cloudy Bay blocks.
