Description of OTC 4992 Clutch Spring Compressor

OTC's Clutch Compressor tool is a requirement for efficient servicing of Harley-Davidson 1340 cc (80 ci) clutches. Compressor relieves spring pressure for disassembly during servicing. Durable materials ensure quality performance over the lifetime of the tool. Applications include 1340 cc (80 ci) models: 1990 to 1997 Harley-Davidson, 1991 and later Harley Davidson XL, and 1995 and later Buell. Tool is similar to HD-38515-A.

Impressive Tool for Automotive Enthusiasts

As a hesitant buyer I purchased this clutch spring compressor for my car repair needs. As a result of using this product, I found that it is an impressive tool that makes clutch work easier and quicker than anticipated. Poor quality control

I bought this tool to work on my '07 Buell XB12r. Even though it was the right instrument, it wasn't done right. The hollow threaded bolt that was to be screwed onto the clutch release device had no internal thread at all, without this thread the tool is completely useless. I returned it and bought a cheaper version of this motion pro tool and it worked great and was made correctly.
