Description of 🔧 Efficient On-Vehicle Wheel Hub and Bearing Removal: OTC 6575 Hub Grappler Kit

The Hub Grappler is a complete solution for servicing wheel hubs/bearings on the vehicle w/o removing the steering components or knuckle - eliminating unnecessary alignments or the use of a shop press. Jaws are designed and sized to properly fit hub applications and can be quickly located on the puller bar without the need for fasteners. 3/4 inch custom drive screw coupled with the special equalizer washer ensures smooth operation while proprietary heat treating provides 5 to 10 times longer life than similar designs. Six adapters increase application coverage; includes tie rod/ball joint tool and two Ford axle installers. Included Application Guide is the most comprehensive on the market.

Worth the price.

Wow. Received this tool after attempting to remove a Honda pilot wheel hub. Spend 5+ hours driving, cutting and other pullers. I ended up calling at night and ordering this tool. When he arrived less than 10 minutes later, the hub was down. We ended up spending more money after destroying the forearm in front of this tool. This tool will save you time and money. Worth the price

The best kit available! Money Maker

I have used several kits and this one is top notch especially with the new design of the gripper sleeve puller. Facilitates maintenance of pressed wheel bearings and hubs. Highly recommended for everyday use. I also like how well organized the set is. The only criticism I have of the kit is that the inner ring puller doesn't grip some of the inner hub rings, but I usually use a grinder anyway.

Worked for 1/2 of 1 job.

The jacking screw broke off the first time. I contacted the company and asked for a photo. Sent them pictures and they sent us a return label so they can determine if it's under warranty or not. For a really expensive tool that only worked once and did half the job (have to use Harbor Freight's tool to put the other bearing back in) and then was refused when asked for warranty compliance. I rather feel cheated.

Excellent tool, double check book for accuracy on the job

Excellent tool for speeding up press bearing removal and installation. The manual that comes with the tool is pretty accurate, but check what you're working on to make sure you don't damage the tool. I had a Subaru I was working on that said the bearing snap ring was on the outside. However, the locking ring was inside and hidden by gaskets. I ended up igniting the press cup, which I had to guarantee. Expect thrust washers to be replaced after about 10-15 bearings, even with proper lubrication.

Fits LS460 2010 AWD Front Hubs

I used a front hub removal kit on an LS460 2010 AWD. There are many videos showing hub impact watches with and without a pneumatic hammer. I never understood why it took so long. I dared and got myself a set. As expected, the 2010 LS460 AWD is not on the list of supported vehicles. The instructions recommend pressing out the hubs. However, it took me 20 minutes to remove the knuckle, 2 minutes to install the clutch and 10 seconds to remove the hub. Lexus charges $1,100 to replace a hub. I did…

A great set that really has everything you could wish for.

Great set that really has everything you need. But it is made in CHINA. And I think a good price reflects that. The bearing return flat plates and ours are not hardened so they bent quite a bit when pushed against the bearing balls when the bearing was pulled out. Not really a problem, but my much older setup it replaced never broke. Next time I'll remove the clip from the hub first and put it back in. Puller and washer installed AMAZING. The threads run smoothly and the double-tapered washers…

Works great with jack assemblies

I'm a DIY mechanic, someone who buys all the tools they need to get the job done. While it's not the cheapest tool, I figured I'd get more than one use of it's with a few bit cars I have, as well as friends' vehicles. You have to do some work if you want it to pay off, but it works. A few tidbits about this device: * The instruction manual is very complete. You'll need a bit of mechanical intuition to match the drawings to the car itself as they use generic images for different cars, but any…
