Good product about transmission and transmission

It did exactly what I needed. I replaced the 2011 Kia Optima axle with this. I attached it to my slide hammer and it immediately ripped out the axle.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Expensive

The perfect CV joint removal tool

I needed to remove the CV joints on our Polaris 4Wheeler. This adapter fits perfectly with our OTC Slide Hammer. and well done. I'm a very happy buyer.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Works well. for spare parts

Worked great on my Volkswagen Jetta's CV axles. Due to the internal C-clip design, they are difficult to pull out. This simplifies the job with a slide hammer, which can be rented at most auto parts stores.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

looks like a quality tool

did not work for 2001 toyota avalon internal driver recovery. I also got a hook bait which worked. It crushed a piece of metal at the joint which helped seal it but since I replaced it it didn't matter. The constant velocity joint manufacturer recommended OTC 7507.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Updates

Works as advertised.

My cousin needed help replacing the passenger side front axle on his 2014 Nissan Rogue AWD. Being in the Northeast (New York), rust was inevitable as the bearing on the CV axle is steel while the carrier is aluminum. What made it even easier to remove the CV axis on the aisle was the heating (of the map-pro hand lamp) of the bracket when using this adapter on a sliding hammer. It took about 5-6 hits on the slide hammer and the CV axle popped right out.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Non automatic

Flat clearance is approx 47mm

I don't think it's listed but flat clearance ie largest CV plug the tool will fit is approx 47mm - Axle Tool not installed properly becomes. Rather than ruin the dust cover, I decided to modify the tool by removing 5mm from each side of the groove - this took about half an hour with a cutting disc in a rotary tool, after which the joint popped out. with a half snap ring which is not uncommon so be aware that this can happen and look for it as you will need to pull the other part out of the diff

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Operating speed
