Ottomanson Ottohome Collection Non Skid Non Slip Review

This is my fifth rug from this manufacturer. Rugs have a thin pile but a nice rubber backing that will hold onto wooden surfaces. Lasts about 18 months before they start to look worn. This rug is darker than pictured.

You will probably be skeptical about this rug because it is not expensive but looks nice. Put your worries in a box, because this is one of those items that you get your money's worth. Yes it's thin but you can use rug pad if you want (I don't use it as it's in the kitchen) but it's such a pretty pattern that brings out the right shade. Very happy with this purchase, at the cost you really can't go wrong. Mine was sent in a box so there was no damage or creases (it was rolled up, not folded).

I have bought several of these mats. I bought 3 red flowers and 1 green sage. I put 3 red ones in my basement. Because of the humidity in the basement, I needed thinner carpets. Photo does not accurately represent base color. It is not as light/bright as in the photo. This is a darker shade close to natural. This is a good stain resistant paint for my kitchen. The flowers are bright, vibrant colors so they contrast beautifully with the base. There are reds, yellows, oranges, golds, blues, and greens, so it's easy to match them to what I already have. This is just what my bathroom needed to keep it from looking so dark and boring! The carpet does not move or slip. I have the added benefit of a textured, non-slip floor. I really like this rug. To be honest, I liked it so much that I immediately ordered another one. The color is a bit darker in real life than online, but it really goes better with my bedspread and dust as it's a bit darker. UPDATE 5/2016: I've washed this in my HE machine a few times. The first time I made a mistake and washed in Heavy Duty mode. The rubber backing started to fall apart and I had weird shrinkage. So now I wash on the gentle cycle. Make sure you hang it up to dry - DO NOT put it in the dryer. Still looks good enough for a messy room. If I had to do it all over again I would just wash the outside on the deck with some kind of detergent and dry with my hands. I still have one of these rugs and I do…
