Effectively protects against swamp, mud and water

I have worn them while hiking in the Scottish moors. This, of course, saved from the swamp. I'm a small person and even with thick muscular calves they only work over something thick (like pants). They didn't sleep all the time, but I don't think I could lend them to anyone with skinnier calves or legs than me. Not sure how they will hold up. The buckle on your boot stays in place all the time. One star deducted (wish it was half) for the 'easy' buckle at the top being quite difficult to…

Perfect for unpredictable weather

I bought these for a trip to Iceland in early September and can't say how perfect they are for unpredictable conditions (rain for 1 hour, sun for 1 hour, rain for 20 minutes ). , sun for 20 minutes etc.). With a bit of stretch, they pair well with my ankle-supporting hiking boots and keep everything below the knees dry without overheating me like long rain pants. Once I got the right size, they were very easy to put on and take off in less than 5 minutes when the weather changed and they were…

Perfect for off-road trips!

I like hiking in the winter, but because of the unpredictable amount of snow, it's usually difficult to get off the trail. I didn't want bulky snow pants and I didn't have money for ski/snowboard pants. I never thought of using leg warmers but my sister recommended them and they ended up being a perfect fit for my needs and budget! I was a bit nervous because the entire front closure is velcro but to my surprise it's a great closure. When I left the trail I was covered in snow above my knees…

ON MY KNEELS! goes with gaiters

I already have a shorter pair that I wear hiking and they work great, but I recently bought Zensah knee length compression stockings and found them while hiking off the beaten track in Florida where I winter , that I picked up a lot of thorns quite often, since I very rarely wear long pants. So I ordered them just for socks. They fit the same as my shorter ones, hook into the laces over my boots, have velcro closures to the knees, and are secured at the top with a buckle system that clamps the…
