The lid is excellent. I honestly like the functionality. But the bottle is so incredibly fragile and thin that I don't expect it to last long. I've been using it for less than 12 hours and I took ONE 10 minute car ride and it got scratched like hell from sitting in a cup holder. There are also some scratches on the cover itself. If you buy this water bottle, you'll probably never want to use another one. I drank out of a Contigo car transporter. Straw bottles for about a year, which I really liked, except sucking in the straw got airy at times. One of the lids stopped working at all - I was just sucking in air.
