It's small but don't let that stop you

I've always wanted to buy a new vegetable peeler since my previous one ran into a hard sweet potato, bent and was never the same again . The reviews about it constantly confused me, since I have large hands, but I still decided to buy it. It cleans like a dream, and while it's small, it's not out of control. One side has OXO toughness and the other side is smooth plastic.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Out of style

Best corn stripper I've ever used

As I mentioned in another review of another similar product, I bought this product as well and I like it. It's very easy to use, reaching down to the corn cob to get all your kernels. It takes about 15 seconds to stroke the entire length of the plunger and you're done. If I could give more than five stars I would. If you look at the picture the other one I like is in the background. You can't go wrong by choosing one of these very durable products. I would definitely recommend it

A must if you're clumsy

If you're anything like me (and I hope you're not, for your own good), using traditional paring knives can be painful. The surface of the peeler itself is too small and you have to hold the fruit/vegetable in an awkward position to peel it properly. This results in many half-peeled apples and potatoes slipping out of your hand, or in my case, multiple cases of peeled fingers. to misfortune. So you must get it.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Frequency

Great little tool suitable for vegetable peelers

Very happy with this corn peeler. My husband and I quickly picked 200 ears of freshly harvested corn. It's definitely messy work, even with this tool, and I'm glad we took on this project on our deck, where I just hosed it all down when we were done (I was also wearing an apron, which I highly recommend ). There's a bit of a learning curve, so don't get discouraged if you're starting out. After a few tries we were able to figure out the best way to hold both the ear and the scraper without…

Pros
  • regular price
Cons
  • sad packaging

Corn peeler OXO Good grip: overall score 4.5

What I like: - Fast. About 40 seconds in each ear. - Not very dirty. Removing the skin into a rectangular casserole dish helps control juice splatter. - Simple controls. The device is small and easy to use. - The edge is pretty sharp. Did I say fast? What I don't like: - Danger of cuts. The hand holding the corn (back) should be protected with a glove or rag to avoid contact with the blade at the end of its stroke. Unknowingly, I cut my thumb on the first hit of the first use. The blade is VERY
