🥞 Effortlessly Measure and Dispense Batter with the OXO Good Grips Precision Batter Dispenser Review

I have always bought Oxo products because they have been reliable. Not so with the test donor. I had the worst mess making pancakes. The batter just kept flowing. I didn't call support because I don't want to clean it up and send it back. I want to throw it away, which I will do soon.

This product didn't work or was defective. The locking mechanism that regulates the batter in the pan only worked when the product was lying flat on the pan (which was impossible on a hot surface) and made a huge mess on our hot stove and kitchen floor during our Christmas breakfast. . A very unpleasant experience.

I used the KPKitchen model for about 2 years before it wore out. We use it weekly. I saw that OXO now had a version and assumed it would be better. This is not due to a design flaw. If you pull the handle too hard the whole thing will fall off and all the batter will flow out without there being any means of stopping it. This is especially difficult for children or other inexperienced users. Requires a very light touch. KPKitchen's purple lid is cheaper, easier to use, and lasts longer.

I used my unit for the first time this weekend and it was an epic failure. The handle will be held back and you will have to maneuver to get it back in place or it will get stuck. I'm not sure if mine is defective or not. I logged into my Amazon account to return it but found the return window was closed. I do not recommend buying this product. They don't endorse their product if they give a short return window. I also just used it for the first time and the spout would not close.

If you have enough batter this is the best way to spread it out for pancakes or waffles. The wide opening makes it easy to pick up the batter without spilling it and it's very easy to see how much you're pouring out each time. The only thing I have is a silicone spout on the bottom. Not sure about durability, it seems like it's only a matter of time before it starts cracking and leaking. The main problem is that when you make a thick batter, the silicone doesn't let it flow easily.

Top Cap will not hold. Easily removed. A simple semi-recessed o-ring would solve this problem and be worth every penny. I can't give 5 stars for that, the designers obviously ignored the functionality of the lids when designing them. If you leave this in the fridge and tip it over, it will likely come loose and the contents will squirt out. I was particularly disappointed with the top, even before I put the pancake batter in.
