Get it not Samsung T5

This device works wonders! If you are into black magic, this device is for you. Don't buy a Samsung, it's cheaper and better, you can buy an SSD, and it's cheap and it's interchangeable!

Pros
  • Memory
Cons
  • No

A solid device.

Oyen is a great addition to my camera equipment. Has a solid metal construction. All necessary cables are included in the scope of delivery. Connecting to the camera was easy. Forget external SSDs with Oyen. I can use cheaper SATA SSDs to burn movies. Major advantage!

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Dust and water resistant with SSD installed

This is a great way to use SATA SSDs in place of more expensive standalone portable drives, but with one fatal flaw. After inserting the SSD, dust and moisture can get inside. The rubber valve can be removed by loosening the fixing screw. I highly recommend this as it's easy to tear off. If you shoot a lot indoors this is perfect, but I won't be using it outdoors until I can 3D print and mold a silicone cap to end up with an inserted disc.

Pros
  • External SSDs
Cons
  • Style 90

Powerful but slow - Datastore

The only thing I like about it is its reliability. The rest is just blah blah. This is slower than using a SATA to USB cable with a bmpcc 6k bag. I can't shoot a full 6k at all with this option. This basically corresponds to my SD cards. So why use it at all. I want to love but I can't. At the moment it's just sitting in my camera bag as a backup.

Pros
  • Datastore
Cons
