I got these as a Christmas present for my husband and he loves them. They work exactly as described and are easy to add to your drink. He loves a good whiskey or scotch so they form a very large ball of ice that slowly melts together with these drinks. Plus, the Death Star detail is just plain fun.

It's a fun gift but keep your expectations low. There were small pieces attached to the ice ball, but the bottom half of the case seems impossible to remove. The only way I can remove it is by putting it in warm water and then all parts of the Death Star will melt. It's also a lot cloudier than in the photo. But if you just want a scoop of ice for your drinks it will do the job.

easy to fill and use I mean you fill up water and put it in the freezer if that's too heavy for you then you probably have someone to help you you wipe your ass too. The moment you and the liquid are on top of your amazing Death Star Ice Sculpture, it will become a ball of ice and all surface features will disappear. If you want to see the Death Star while enjoying your drink then this is not the product for you.

but as other reviewers point out the bottom is very difficult to remove unless you have good grip strength. It was difficult for me to do, but it can be done. It doesn't look like my husband is having a hard time. We bought this for him so he could have the Death Star in his whiskey but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't put out the ice cube. However, he is still working on making a large ice cube.

Didn't work for me. I couldn't get bath bombs to work no matter what recipe I tried, if it's a 'wet' recipe they crack so hard you can't tell what it is and if it's a 'dry' is "recipe then it won't come out of the mold. I have a lot of halves so I gave up and tried to make ice cubes but again none came out, they are all cracked on the inside so you can't see the pattern on the outside .

So I got 2 packs. One for ice, one for pouring epoxy. Icy came out terrible. Cracked and looking more like a chest than a Death Star. I taped the ice shape around the seam to keep it from leaking (on the second try). For Harz it was a completely different experience! I resealed the mold and used a tiny funnel to slowly pour the resin into the mold and then placed it in my autoclave to cure. It came out great!

I bought these as a gift for my dad who is a total Star Wars fan and likes to have a large ice cube in his drink at night. When they arrived I was a little worried they would lick all over my freezer and the Death Star wouldn't show up, but it's AMAZING! The detail on the ice is amazing and I'm so excited to give it to him for Christmas! Make sure you don't fill them all or they will overflow a bit otherwise they were worth the money!

Ice takes 6 to 8 hours to install and I'm still trying to find a way to make it easier to open it when they are done. The mold sticks to the surface as the ice forms, but it turns out to be a large icy Death Star. 1 will fill the glass with its need for cold. Haven't tried jelly yet but I think it will be good. It took about a month and a half to find out if it was related to the holidays. There may be other forms, but so far these are good.
