Ideal for large appetizers.

Used for 4 liter yeast starter. It is very nice. Whirlpool down 4-5 inches and allows me to work at full capacity. One seems a bit out of balance but workable. The other 2 are perfect.

I like them better than the shorter

They stir the liquid faster and with less noise than the shorter sticks I've used. Not unbalanced, as one reviewer said, often depends on how centered the bars are on the magnetic stir plate (especially with homemade plates).

Noisy, unstable with my agitator regardless of the container

The rib in the middle makes them hit the container, they are also very unstable and constantly losing their magnetic field. weird packaging with them, kind of a creepy business card that talks about Unobtanium. I winced and was about to send them back when I saw this.
