Gonex bag is a go: my feedback

I can never travel light enough especially coming home from a trip! This bag seems to solve this problem. It’s light enough to pack in your suitcase. This is my main use for this bag - as a back up. I have yet to use it as an actual luggage. I don’t know how it’ll hold up after someTime but the zippers seem sturdy. There was a little bit of thread hanging out when I first got the bag but I hope it’s not going to affect the quality of the bag. Shipping was fast.Update: 1/3/2019:Added another…

Pros
  • I use it for a long weekend and can fit everything I need in it! I’m down to just one bag instead of 3!
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for formal or business travel

It's a serious duffel

This duffel is quite large a little more heavy-duty than some I own, so it folds down to a slightly-larger 13-1/2" square that's about an inch thick if you do a nice job of folding. If you need the size, this is a great choice, as it's easier than most foldable duffels to put back into itself. It's got pockets on both ends and both sides. The pockets on the "back" side are smaller than the others because they're part of a support band allowing you to stack the duffel atop a rolling suitcase. One

Pros
  • Comes in a stylish design that looks great on the go
Cons
  • The shoe compartment may not provide enough ventilation for shoes, leading to unpleasant odors

Bigger than expected, and versatile.

I purchased the 100L version to replace a well-worn hard luggage case that was used for air travel as checked luggage only. I bought both the 100L and 150L, worried that I might not have enough room. The 100L swallowed all of my traditional vacation clothes, five extra books I bought, two more pairs of shoes my wife bought, and everything I wanted to put inside, and I haven’t even opened the side pockets or had to stretch anything. Carrying a full load through airports wasn’t easy, but that…

Pros
  • Super durable. I have flown and checked this bag multiple times already. Great buy
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for backpacking or hiking due to their large size and weight

Strong, very large travel bag

I used this to carry about 100lbs or 50KG of luggage from United States to Brazil. It was mostly clothes and snorkeling gear. It survived a trip to the Revain very well, no holes or cuts in the bag. The only downsize is that it's not a hardshell so that carrying the bag is a little awkward and heavy due to the size and type of loose items inside. I've decided to go with this because of the lightweight and size. It actually folds into itself with zipper for storage. It compacts into the size of…

Good quality bag, low-hanging shoulder strap

Daughters (9 &7 yrs old) each brought a bag with them for a week of sleep-away camp. The bags truly are huge. I’m glad we had all the space because we used all of it. Super durable.Really heavy when fully loaded. My girls couldn’t lift them, so I had to carry both bags up a hill at camp to their cabin. My only complaint is that the cross-body shoulder strap is too long by about 30”. Even at its shortest length, the bag hangs below my butt. There’s no way to make it shorter, so I had to put the…

Pros
  • Comes in two different sizes to suit your needs - 100L and 150L
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for short trips or weekend getaways due to their large size

If you're traveling and want to go one-way and bring a bunch of stuff back with you, this bag is perfect. When it is compressed and folded up, it easily fits in my backpack. I flew with it in my backpack and then I was able to open it up and travel back with a ton of stuff. When this bag opens, it is surprisingly HUGE. I was able to fit some books, clothes, blankets, and some fragile stuff wrapped in the middle. I had the heavy books on the bottom. I had the bag weighed out at 48lbs. It was…

Pros
  • I love everything
Cons
  • The water-repellent material may make it difficult to clean the bag if it becomes dirty or stained

great duffel, compact with lots of pockets

The Gonex 150L extra large duffel bag is a great duffel bag. Its best feature is that it folds up onto a very compact size, roughly 12 inches on a side, with two zipped pockets accessible, when not in use. It is made out of nylon with a waterproof coating. The main bag has a zipper with two zipper pulls for access. Inside the main bag is a small zipped bag next to the main zipper. One end of the duffel has a U shaped zipper with a loose nylon divider, suitable for a pair of shoes. The other end

Pros
  • Made from high-quality materials that resist wear and tear
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for use as a sports bag or for outdoor activities due to their large size and weight

Looks and feels like high quality

I’m impressed with the quality and performance. It looks high end. I use it as my yoga equipment storage solution. I keep two yoga mats, a blanket, two yoga blocks, a bolster and a yoga strap in it at all times. There is plenty room for more items if needed. I’m super happy with my purchase and I absolutely recommend this product to anyone. Oh and it folds up super small. Which I don’t need it for that. But if I did, it is impressive how small it folds up and zips it self shut when folded…

Pros
  • Makes a great gift for friends or family members who love to travel
Cons
  • The bags may be too heavy to carry for long distances, causing fatigue or injury

Best duffle bag I've ever had!

Loved how we stuffed the bag and it held up! All the extra pockets was a huge plus! Then when we unpacked it just zippered down simply into a easily storable bag!

Pros
  • Provides ample storage space for all your travel essentials
Cons
  • The water-repellent material may make the bag slippery and difficult to carry in wet conditions

Great bag as a carry-on for short trips.

This is a great bag for short trips/flights. Very roomy with a lot of pockets and still fits in the over head bins on the smaller planes. I really like this bag and recommend it.

Pros
  • Features a shoe compartment to keep your shoes separate from other belongings
Cons
  • The bags may weigh more than allowed for checked baggage on some airlines

When traveling back the the US, I pack this bag with me. I always buy stuff to bring home with me and this bag makes it super easy to have an extra bag if needed, without having to buy another piece of luggage.

Pros
  • Easy-to-use zippers for quick access to your belongings
Cons
  • The water-repellent material may cause items inside the bag to become damp or moldy

Great Bag!: my feedback

We have 2 of these bags (wife and daughter were ahead of the game) and just picked up a third (for me). They're great for week long trips and we've used them weekend trips when we only want to take one bag. Tons of space and a great bag for the price.

Pros
  • Works for me.
Cons
  • The shoe compartment may take up valuable space that could be used to pack more items

purchased for camping

My son and I go camping many times per year, in all weather conditions, so I wanted a large sturdy bag to fit all of our gear. This bag is huge and will hold everything for a week. That includes clothes, sleeping bags, inflatble pillows, shoes, batteries, flash lights, camping chairs, toiletries, tent, day packs. Holding up gre

Pros
  • Great , light and strong
Cons
  • The water-repellent material may cause the bag to become too hot and uncomfortable in warm weather

100L is great Diono 3QX Carseat bag alternative for airplane

We own have used a 60L Gonex for a couple years now for our trips. Always came in handy when we come back with more stuff.Need to travel with a carseat on airplane this time. The Diono is airline approved, however, wanted the option to check it, gate check or use on the plane.Diono folds down very nicely, so buying the standard car seat bags found on Revain would be inefficient and be unwieldly to carry around. The official Diono bag is too expensive, so I thought why not try a bag from…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain after use
Cons
  • The large size of the bags may take up valuable space in hotel rooms or shared living spaces

Good bag, but really, really huge. returned for the 100L

I purchased the 150L to hold camping gear, etc. but found that the bag was really too large for what I needed. I ordered the 100L, which is perfect for holding all my camping gear + clothing. The bag is designed well, with strong nylon, lots of exterior zip pockets for organizing smaller items.

Pros
  • Can be used as a replacement for a suitcase
Cons
  • The water-repellent material may cause items inside the bag to become discolored or stained over time

It's really really (really) big

I like the features, look, and functionality of this bag. I bought a 150L bag and an 80L bag from the same line. As it turns out, I wish I had just bought 2 of the 80L bags. My kid was going to sleepaway camp and takes a lot of stuff, so I intentionally looked for the biggest duffle I could find. But even when this bag was only about 2/3 loaded, it was too heavy to easily pick up, carry, and maneuver. Not the manufacturer's fault, but just wanted to share our experience. We love the 80L bag…

Pros
  • Features a sturdy and comfortable carry handle
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for use as a beach bag or for carrying items in sand due to the water-repellent material

I was wanting a nice big duffle bag for our weeklong road trip vacation, and this certainly delivered! I have only been on vacation twice before, so I'm still one of those who over packs! I wear large, 3X clothes, and this was still more than sufficient for packing all of my own clothes, along with twice as many clothes as necessary for my daughter (girl's M.)I put my tennis shoes (W 11,) and a pair of her boots in the shoe holder. I even put a package of overnight pull ups in the duffle bag…

Pros
  • Offers a comfortable carrying experience with padded straps
Cons
  • The bags may not fit on standard luggage carts or skycaps at airports

Great bag! for my opinion

Great travel bag, holds a lot and stores in its own, built-in pouch! Easy to use with a good roll aboard bag to get to bag check.

Pros
  • I use this when I have to travel. It can store quite a lot of clothes. Durable bag for the money.
Cons
  • The shoe compartment may not be large enough to accommodate larger shoe sizes or multiple pairs of shoes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Durable.good color on my review.

I bought this duffle bag as a replacement for a travel one I used for years. The color on this is beautiful (dark green) and the duffle bag seems durable (I have only used it once so far). I like that it zips up into an easy to store bag as space here is limited. It is extremely large which appealed to me. The one downside is that the bottom is as fluid as the rest of it so it doesn't hold its shape while transporting. It would be nice to have some sort of bottom support to keep the bag's shape

Pros
  • Can be used as a check-in luggage for long trips
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for use in wet weather due to the water-repellent material causing water to pool on the surface

College must have on my review.

I LOVE these bags. We’ve traveled with one for the past four years when taking my daughter to college out of state with no tears. It’s okay for air travel, but we literally packed 50 pounds worth of clothes in it since the bag is practically weightless. Hard part is carrying them to and from the airport and dorm. It definitely took teamwork and creativity. Since my youngest stayed in state, we bought her 2 more. These bags are great for stuffing to the brim with clothes and bedding. We use the…

Pros
  • Provides excellent protection for fragile items
Cons
  • The water-repellent material may cause the bag to become noisy when rubbing against other surfaces, such as when on a bus or subway
