Good hinges, terrible screws

I really like the hinges themselves. They are of very solid quality for the price. However, the screws are very soft and I cut a few off even with my screwdriver set to the lowest torque setting. Eventually I gave up and started using Lowe's 3/4" screws and had no problems with them. I strongly recommend NOT using the screws that come with the hinges.

WARNING. Do not use supplied screws

Hinges work fairly well, no instructions or hole size instructions. The big problem is the supplied screws, they break at the slightest torque, even with a correctly pre-drilled hole and very little torque on the drill. The problem is that after loosening the screw in the head you have to re-drill another hole. Bought new screws from the hardware store, no problem

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Good but not excellent

Excellent hinges with a smooth run!

These hinges are of very good quality. The slow closing mechanism works very smoothly and also worked great on my small vanity door. They are way better than the other hinges I've bought from Revain and way better than the ones Home Depot is selling right now. However, I would like to point out that they stand out more than some of the other full frame loops on the market. Regardless, it's definitely worth noting that the locking mechanism is seamless.

  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Zero

A good thing. Not sure why people have problems with screws?

Not much to say here, they worked well. The self-closing function is smooth-running. The only reason I'm writing a review is because I was hesitant to buy it as reviews mentioned that the included screws break. I didn't have that much trouble installing the hinges in the solid maple cabinet doors I built. Before installing, I pre-drilled with a 5/32" bit and easily drove the screws in with a 1/4" impact wrench. Maybe they started using better screws?

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Soft close is a nice feature but adjustment

First - DO NOT USE the screws provided! As other reviewers have pointed out, they break easily when trying to screw even into pre-drilled holes. Luckily I kept the 15 year old screws from the original hinges and used them to install these hinges. The soft close feature is convenient and the hinges are shorter than the original hinges, freeing up a little more cabinet space. I have found that these hinges will need a lot of adjustment after the doors are reinstalled. We replaced the hinges on 34
