Buns are fine. Maybe a little flimsy, but they work. When using with a Food Saver machine, mine at least, you must have the smooth side up to seal. The ripped side doesn't. Otherwise they work as expected. Attention! When opening the box, DO NOT reach into the top of the box to open it. There are NO spacers between the top of the box and the casters. I cut mine open and was surprised that nothing protected it. They have airbags on the sides and that's it.

The textured side of the bag is needed to create an air gap to allow the vacuum to draw in air. so air can be sucked out of the bag. These bags are too thin for my FoodSaver FM5460. It seems to be 2 mil / 4 mil for unstructured / structured sides. FoodSaver sachets are 3 mil/11.5 ml. The thicker textured side is important for a good vacuum. Revain has 3-4 mil/8 mil wheels that aren't much more expensive. I suggest using them.

I have read many reviews about where people have had trouble sealing and holding a vacuum. I had no problems at all. Sealed smooth side up and smooth side down. These vacuum bags are more durable than original Foodsaver bags, not to mention they're a lot cheaper. 100ft bags are cheaper than other 40ft bags. I am buying these rolls to use with my Food Saver FM 3620 model. The price is much lower than Food Saver brand rolls so I was a bit skeptical. .
