It's nice when it works, but it doesn't "really " work with every "normal " outlet.

I have the standard sockets but they are from 1997 and the plates only work if they are fitted the wrong way round. If the contacts were a bit higher or movable, then everything would work fine. The product itself is very pleasant. A panel was damaged trying to access the side screws. I contacted their support but they didn't offer to replace the disk which I broke trying to install it. And she said my sockets don't have side screws to which I told her that's not true because the plates work…

Much better than I expected!

I think I had fewer expectations of reality. But once I installed them, they exceeded all my expectations! They are very sweet. Just bright enough without being obtrusively bright. The light pattern forms an inverted V and illuminates enough floor space to navigate my bedroom and hallways. I recommend using at least two of these on opposite walls in a room, say 10 feet by 12 feet, to get the best lighting for your space. Since they are self-powered from the outlet, you don't have to worry about

The light is always on, even if the rooms are well lit. The panel does not lie flat against the wall.

I had high hopes for this product but was a bit disappointed after installing 6 of these units in my home. The LED is bright, which is very convenient. However, the light never goes out, it stays on all day. If I shine a flashlight on the sensor, it turns on, but it's only a few inches away in bright light. They stick out, which doesn't look good. One side lies flat while the other sticks out. And as you can see, this light is shining brightly and the photo was taken at 9:30 am (daylight). Also

Very poor design

These socket cover night lights are a great idea, but they don't work. At least most of the time. Snap-in contacts are extremely sensitive to the EXACT configuration of your 115VAC outlets installed in their box - if your original electrician was in a rush, if there was paint splatter on the contact screws etc. the contacts will not seat properly and this device WILL NOT WORK. This has happened in 4 of the 5 places I've tried using them so far. In fact, the "Troubleshooting Guide" describes 7…

Good idea - bad design (IMO)

Something went wrong somewhere between the conception of this idea and the production of the product. My home is 16-17 years old and was wired by qualified electricians to standard Leviton outlets with a ground lug at the bottom - in accordance with electrical codes. SnapPower GuideLight 2 is advertised as "easy install", "plug and play". Spring. This statement is an oversimplification even for households with grounded sockets.
