I upgraded a 3G generator and this kit paved the way. The quality is not to be commended. You'll need good pliers and a heat gun. If you are planning to upgrade your alternator, get this kit!

Fixed 3G generator loading issues. Worth every penny spent on it. I would suggest soldering the connections instead of crimping them. It came out very nicely. Came with good instructions and I got rid of the whole old wiring harness for the original crappy alternator.

Fantastic kit has everything you need. I used this kit on my 1987 Mercury Colony Park. The only problem was the big red charging cable. This kit is not designed for a van so this cable is not long enough to route the cable where I wanted to route it. No big deal, I used it anyway because I really wanted it to work. It was worth it, the PDF file on the manufacturer's site was extremely helpful for the installation.

I used this alternator upgrade kit to upgrade the wiring on my Foxbody Mustang as it was cheaper than what is on other Late Model websites Pony is offered, and cheaper/easier than buying all the cables, plugs, fuses, etc. separately. Overall this kit worked for my upgrade but please note that there are a few things to consider when using this on a Foxbody.
