These are great phones, like most Panasonics, but I'm very disappointed with the standby time, which is around 48 hours for the two standard AAA batteries used in the device. Panasonic block battery models last much longer on standby as I have had many Panasonic models. (I've always upgraded because I wanted more features, like speaking caller ID, as phones themselves rarely fail, other than batteries needing to be replaced about every 3 years.)
