Underwater Camera Misses the Mark

The camera's electronics were unreliable and the images produced were unclear. The camera is compact and easy to store, but its lack of durability is a serious drawback when using it underwater.

Pros
  • Waterproof up to 23 feet, making it perfect for underwater photography.
Cons
  • The camera has limited zoom capabilities with only a 4x optical zoom.

Old but nice, the best point and shoot digital cameras

I'm old, I use a 1932 Leica and a 2005 Panasonic. I don't like smartphones. Great little camera, with a few notes and tips. Cons: 1. The waterproof warning pops up every time you take out the memory card. You must complete the setup/precautions until the next time you remove the card. Puzzle! Tip: 1. Get a really fast memory card. Around September 2017, I switched from old to ASAP, and MY! Doesn't matter. 2. Take some spare batteries with you. The factory Panasonic seems to lose charge evenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Hard to say

Rugged waterproof camera

I bought this in July to kayak in flat and white water. I gotta say I beat that thing to death and it's still going strong. It's definitely waterproof as long as you make sure it's properly sealed. I always attach a swim band to it because I've dropped it into running water more than once. The life belt saves lives because the camera sinks. I've also dropped it on hard ground more times than I can count. Something always comes out. Image quality is good, not fantastic, but my shots are farโ€ฆ
